All About Me (Madame Mindset)
For those of you that don't know, my name is Kate Dumouchelle and I am the creator of the Madame Mindset YouTube channel. I also sell educational resources on a website called Teachers Pay Teachers.
I started the YouTube channel in 2021 when we had to pivot to online learning. I was searching for ways to connect with my students, get them up and moving, reduce anxiety, increase engagement and have a little fun during a stressful time. As it happens, the videos were pretty effective at accomplishing my goal. I decided to share them so that other teachers and students could use them as well.
Since then, I have learned so much. I have become even more passionate about helping other teachers and students learn French and keep moving in the classroom.

I have been wanting to do this for quite some time now, but was scared to take the leap. Have you ever been scared to start something? I think I was scared (still kind of am actually) because I have never designed a shirt, much less sell them. Kids have been so excited to meet me, ask for my autograph, and sometimes they want to know if they can get stickers or merch.
So, I'm finally doing it! I have chosen to get the shirts printed at a charity called Chari-tees. They operate in the basement of the Downtown Mission in Windsor, Ontario. This Social Enterprise aims to help people struggling to find employment by helping them develop skills working in the shop. More than 50% of the proceeds from each shirt will go directly back to the Mission to help serve hungry, homeless, and hurting individuals. I figure this is a perfect time of year to help and you can help too!
